Established in Newcastle in 1969, Darby's Fresh Bake began operation in Darby St Newcastle under the name "Darby's Pie Bar" as a small store selling freshly baked pies.

In 2001, the aggressive new marketing team re-launched the company as "Darby's Fresh Bake" with new ideas, logos and a fresh approach.

By maintaining quality and retaining the most popular lines, this allowed fast service and competitive pricing, attracting a much wider range of customers.

State of the art equipment and production technology has allowed Darby's to become the driving force in a highly competitive fast food industry.

With continued success and demand by customers to expand into new areas we are planning new stores continually.

Darby's Fresh Bake employs over 135 staff in production and retail operations. All our staff undergo comprehensive food handling and hygiene training.

Our stores are fitted out with the latest equipment to ensure service to our customers is efficient and our product is of the highest quality.

Darby's is a member of the Baking Industry Association who provide guidance with employees and many other aspects of the baking industry.

We have expanded to the Central Coast and Sydney and more recently to Thornton & Rutherford taking the number of stores to 28.
